Detail
Podere Santa Giulia, originally renovated in the 1990s, has undergone a new transformation at the request of its new owners, who commissioned a full refurbishment along with the integration of cutting-edge technological systems.
Our project aimed to create a bright, healthy living environment that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation, achieving perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape.
- Revision of the internal distribution to ensure more functional spaces.
- Use of natural, breathable materials: light premium travertine for the floors, plaster finished with laminated shaving without added pigments, and lime glazing for the ceilings.
- Fixtures: the old wooden frames were replaced with iron designs to maximize natural light and give the interiors a more contemporary character.
- Bathrooms: custom-made furnishings were crafted to support travertine basins and to integrate seamlessly with resin finishes.
- Stairwell: to connect the ground floor with the basement, more than one metre of solid rock was excavated, creating the space needed for a new stairwell. A reinforced concrete staircase was then built, finished in resin and completed with a seamless iron handrail made from a single sheet of metal, without welds.
- Cave ceiling: reinforced and restored through meticulous manual cleaning of cracks, sandblasting of the surfaces, and a final anti-mould treatment.
