Podere Salingrazio, located in Trequanda in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, was a historic farmhouse.

After its acquisition by the new owner, the farmhouse underwent extensive consolidation and a complete renovation, while retaining its original residential function.

The intervention encompassed the foundations, including the construction of underpinnings and ventilated crawl spaces, the creation of new openings in load-bearing walls reinforced with steel lintels, the installation of underfloor heating and air conditioning systems, and the application of dehumidifying lime plasters and internal finishes with laminated shavings.

On the ground floor, the flooring consists of reclaimed stone, while the upper floor features a combination of resin, wood, and, in certain areas, ceramic surfaces.

In addition to the building renovation, an outdoor swimming pool was constructed, and the courtyard was paved with travertine, dry-laid over a sand bed. Walkways, dry-stone walls, a carport, and a photovoltaic system were also installed, completing a project that seamlessly blends tradition, sustainability, and comfort while harmonising with the surrounding landscape.
